Phil Strohm
Hi, I'm Phil and I am a Sergeant with the Delaware State
Police. I have been with the Delaware State Police for Twenty years. I was
originally assigned to Troop 1, Penny Hill, before I transferred to the Accident
Reconstruction Unit where I spent 12 years. I am currently the officer in
charge of the Delaware State Police Commercial
Vehicle Enforcement Unit, enforcing state and federal regulations on commercial
motor vehicles operating in Delaware.
I wanted to become a Delaware State Trooper while I attended the University of Delaware. I took some Criminal Justice classes, found them interesting, and I applied to become a Delaware State Police Officer.
I
have been with the First State Force band since the beginning. I came to
the band when then Attorney General Jane Brady took over in the summer of 1991,
so it's been 16 1/2 years now!!!
I've been playing guitar since I was six years old. I was in various school bands. When I got to High School, I took up drums so I could play snare drum in the Mt. Pleasant High School Marching Band. I've always enjoyed music and played for a short time with the Delaware State Police Pipe and Drums.
Since Joining the First State Force Band, I've played rhythm guitarr. I play a Gibson Les Paul electric and a Taylor accoustic.
Remember kids, Just say NO...to drugs.
